Article 1 - Purpose
These terms and conditions define the contractual relationship between Coulanges Matthieu and the buyer, as well as the conditions applicable to any purchase made through the online store www.[website name]. Purchasing a good or service on this site implies the buyer's unconditional acceptance of these terms and conditions. These terms will prevail over any other general or specific conditions not expressly validated by Coulanges Matthieu. The company reserves the right to modify these terms at any time. In the event of modification, the terms in force at the time of the order will apply.
Article 2 - Characteristics of Goods and Services Offered
The products and services offered are those listed in the online catalog of the Coulanges Matthieu site. The photographs and descriptions of the products are as accurate as possible, but may not perfectly match the actual product, especially in terms of color. Consequently, images, diagrams, and other representations are non-contractual.
Article 3 - Prices
The prices indicated in the online catalog are shown excluding taxes (HT) and including taxes (TTC). Coulanges Matthieu reserves the right to modify its prices at any time, without prior notice. However, the applicable price will be the one displayed in the cart at the time of the order.
Shipping and delivery costs are not included in the product prices. These are the responsibility of the buyer and vary based on destination, weight, and value of the order. The cart will display available shipping options and their costs, both excluding and including taxes.
Article 4 - Availability of Goods
Product offers on the Coulanges Matthieu site are valid while stocks last. In case of a stock shortage affecting an ongoing order, Coulanges Matthieu will inform the buyer as soon as possible of the new estimated delivery time. The missing product will be shipped with free shipping.
If the new delivery time is not suitable for the buyer, the buyer can cancel the order and request a refund within 30 days from the cancellation of the order.
Article 5 - Orders
To place an order, the buyer must:
- Complete the identification form by providing all required information.
- Add the chosen products or services to their cart.
- Verify and confirm the order.
- Proceed with payment according to the specified conditions.
- Confirm the order and payment.
Order confirmation entails acceptance of these terms and conditions, as well as the acknowledgment of full understanding of them. It also means the buyer waives their own purchase conditions or any other contractual conditions.
All provided data and the recorded confirmation will serve as proof for the transaction. This confirmation will act as a signature and acceptance of the transactions carried out.
Coulanges Matthieu will send an email confirmation of the recorded order.
Modification / Cancellation of an Order
An order can be canceled as long as the package has not been shipped. In this case, the cancellation will be taken into account and a credit note will be issued.
Important Note: Orders for specific or custom products (plates, cut blades, large quantities, special packaging, etc.) cannot be canceled.
Article 6 - Payment Methods
Unless otherwise agreed, all sales must be paid for immediately (without any discount or rebate) by one of the following methods: French check, bank transfer, credit card, or PayPal.
Payments are processed via a secure system using the SSL (Secure Socket Layer) protocol, ensuring that the transmitted information is encrypted and protected from any intrusion during transmission over the network.
Payment will be validated once the necessary additional information has been obtained in the case of payment by credit card, should further verification be required.
Fight Against Credit Card Fraud
To prevent fraud, Coulanges Matthieu reserves the right to verify the buyer’s personal data and take necessary measures to ensure that the person whose bank account is debited is the one who placed the order. This may include requesting identity documents, proof of address, or banking documents (IBAN or canceled check).
If the buyer does not respond to this request within 2 days, the order will be automatically canceled without the possibility of appeal. Coulanges Matthieu also reserves the right to cancel any order that presents potential fraud risks.
Payment by Invoice (reserved for professionals)
Payment terms for invoices are set by Coulanges Matthieu when orders are accepted. In the absence of a specific agreement, invoices are payable immediately, without any discount for early payment.
In the event of late payment, Coulanges Matthieu may suspend all ongoing orders, without prejudice to any other actions.
In accordance with article L441-6 of the French Commercial Code, any payment not made by the due date will automatically incur late fees equal to 10 times the legal interest rate, as well as a flat-rate fee of €40 for collection costs.
In case of non-payment, 8 days after a formal notice by registered letter without response, the sale may be terminated and the products returned to Coulanges Matthieu, without prejudice to any damages.
The termination will apply to all unpaid orders, even if they have been delivered or are in the process of being delivered.
The buyer must reimburse collection fees, including any fees for legal officers.
Custom-made products (plates, blades, etc.) are manufactured according to the buyer’s specified dimensions, with a tolerance of ± 1 cm.
Article 7 - Deliveries
Deliveries are made to the address provided by the buyer during the order. Orders are generally prepared within 2 working days. In case of stock shortages, a new delivery time will be communicated.
Shipments are made according to the following schedule:
• Tuesday to Friday for postal packages (La Poste, Colissimo) and Chronopost.
• Monday to Friday for express carriers (DHL, etc.).
• Once a week for drop-off at relay points.
Delivery times are provided for informational purposes and depend on the chosen carrier.
Delivery delays do not entitle the buyer to any compensation, retention, refund, or cancellation of the current order. However, if the delay exceeds 30 days in France (or 60 days internationally), the buyer may terminate the contract and request a refund.
Coulanges Matthieu reserves the right to split deliveries if necessary.
The buyer must check the apparent condition of the products upon delivery. In the absence of any expressed reservations at that time, the products will be considered as compliant.
The buyer has 3 days from receipt to file written reservations.
Deliveries Outside Metropolitan France and Monaco
In case of delivery outside the European Union, or to DOM-COM (Overseas France), customs duties and taxes may apply upon arrival of the package. These fees are the responsibility of the buyer, who must also comply with local legislation.
Cross-border deliveries may be subject to inspection by customs authorities. The buyer is responsible for complying with customs regulations and agreeing to potential inspections of their packages.
Transfer of Risk (reserved for professionals)
The transfer of risks regarding loss or damage of products occurs upon acceptance of the purchase order, regardless of payment and delivery.
Refunds in Case of Package Loss (reserved for consumers)
In case of package loss, a refund will be issued once the dispute file is closed by the carrier, within 30 days in France (60 days internationally).
Article 8 - Returns, Exchanges, and Refunds
Article 8.1 – Right of Withdrawal
In accordance with Article L.221-18 of the Consumer Code, the consumer buyer has a period of 14 days to exercise their right of withdrawal from the receipt of the goods, without having to provide a reason.
The right of withdrawal can be exercised online, via the following email address: contact@matthieucoulanges.fr, or by filling out the withdrawal form available on the website.
Limitations of the Right of Withdrawal
The right of withdrawal does not apply to custom-made or personalized products (plates, blades, etc.).
Products must be returned unused, in new condition, and in their original packaging. Return shipping costs are the responsibility of the buyer, except in the case of defective or incorrect products.
Article 8.2 – Returns, Exchanges, and Refunds

In the case of defective or incorrect products, return shipping costs will be covered by Coulanges Matthieu, who will provide a prepaid return label or an appropriate carrier.
In all other cases, return shipping costs are the responsibility of the buyer. It is recommended to send the package via tracked mail to have proof of return.
Products must be returned in perfect condition, in their original packaging, with the invoice and return slip. Custom-cut products cannot be returned.
The buyer must keep proof of the parcel deposit. In case of lost packages, no refund will be issued without this proof.
Refund
In accordance with Article L.221-24 of the Consumer Code, Coulanges Matthieu will refund all amounts paid, including delivery costs, within 14 days of being informed of the withdrawal or the return of the products. The refund will be made using the same payment method used by the buyer, unless otherwise agreed.
Exchange
In the case of an exchange, if the new order exceeds the amount of the original order, the buyer can pay the difference online.
If the exchange order is less than the original order, Coulanges Matthieu will refund the difference within 15 days following the receipt of the package.
Article 9 - Warranties
The products supplied by Coulanges Matthieu benefit from the following legal warranties, at no additional cost to the buyer, in accordance with the provisions of the Consumer Code and the Civil Code:

Legal Warranty of Conformity (Articles L.217-4 and following of the Consumer Code):
The seller guarantees the conformity of the goods and is liable for defects existing at the time of delivery.
◦ Duration: 2 years from delivery.
◦ Buyer’s choice: Repair or replacement of the goods, subject to the conditions of Article L.217-9 of the Consumer Code.
◦ Exemption from proof: The buyer does not have to prove the defect within the first 24 months from delivery. -
Warranty Against Hidden Defects (Articles 1641 and following of the Civil Code):
The seller is responsible for hidden defects that make a product unsuitable for its use.
◦ Duration: 2 years from the discovery of the defect.
◦ Buyer’s options: Return of the goods with refund or price reduction.

Products must be returned in their original packaging or suitable packaging to prevent damage. Return shipping costs will be refunded upon presentation of proof.
Important: Drain any liquids and disconnect batteries before shipping. Failure to comply with these conditions will void the warranty. Refunds will be made within 15 days after the defect is confirmed.
The warranty does not cover:
• Non-conformities due to misuse, professional use, negligence, or lack of maintenance,
• Defects related to normal wear and tear, accidents, or force majeure.
Article 10 - Liability
Coulanges Matthieu takes security measures to protect transaction data. However, its liability is limited:
• It cannot be held liable for indirect damages (loss of profits, data, viruses, service interruptions, etc.),
• Liability is limited to the amount paid by the buyer for each order.
Article 11 - Intellectual Property
All reproduction rights are reserved on the Coulanges Matthieu website (texts, images, etc.). Any reproduction without authorization is prohibited.
Article 12 - Personal Data
Coulanges Matthieu is committed to protecting the personal data of its customers in accordance with the GDPR. The buyer has the right to access, correct, and oppose the processing of their personal data by contacting Coulanges Matthieu by email or post.
Cookies: The buyer can disable cookies through their browser settings.
BLOCTEL: The buyer can register for free on the do-not-call list on the website www.bloctel.gouv.fr.
Article 13 - Archiving and Proof
Contracts are archived by Coulanges Matthieu on a durable medium. The buyer may request a copy. Computerized records serve as proof of transactions.
Article 14 - Dispute Resolution
Claims and Mediation:
The buyer can send claims to Coulanges Matthieu by email or mail. The company will respond within 30 working days.
If the claim is not resolved, the buyer can contact a mediator or use the EU’s online dispute resolution platform: http://ec.europa.eu/odr.
Applicable Law:
The terms and conditions of sale are governed by French law. In case of dispute, the Lyon Commercial Court will have jurisdiction.
