Punch / Dot tools

Dots tools allow for point and texture work on wood or linoleum. The tool is interchangeable, and three tips are available.

  • A round punch and a triangular punch, used to create round or triangular marks on wood or linoleum by pressing. The pressing is done with the hand resting on the surface, tilting the hand to the side to push the tip into the material. The harder you press, the deeper the mark. Be careful—some linoleum is quite flexible and may "bounce back" after being punched. For these types, these blades are not suitable. Instead, use the blade described below.

  • A special linoleum blade. Marks are made by tearing the linoleum: the blade is inserted into the material, with the flat side facing forward, and pushed to tear off a small piece of linoleum. The deeper the blade goes, the wider the mark will be.
